In September 2008, Deborah Luthi joined Matheson Trucking as Director of Enterprise Risk Management. Her responsibilities include managing the Risk Department, Property/Lease portfolio, and the Safety/Training Department.

Deborah is a graduate from the University of Kansas in Art Education. For nearly 29 years, she has focused her creativity on the art and science of risk management. Deborah brings to Matheson her transportation experience as Risk Manager for the Sacramento Regional Transit District and two Fortune 500 corporations in San Francisco involved in shipping, manufacturing, and oil and gas exploration. Deborah joins Matheson after 20 years of employment with the University of California, Davis. Her efforts to promote enterprise risk management will now be put to service in support of maximizing opportunities for Matheson's further growth and diversification.

Deborah currently serves on the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) Board of Directors Executive Council as Secretary. Previously, she served on the Executive Council as Treasurer. On the RIMS Board of Directors, she also had portfolio responsibility for Professional Development, Membership, and Chapter Services. Prior to service on the Board, she served on the Technology Advisory Council, Executive Council Nominating Committee, Strategic Planning Taskforce, and Chair of the Membership and Chapter Services Committee. Deborah is a member of the Sacramento Valley Chapter which she helped co-found in 1991.
