Since Mark was a young boy, he has been involved in his parents' family-owned business. From 1973 through 1978, Mark studied Business Administration at Menlo College. In 1974, he began working for R.B. Matheson Trucking in the Low-Bed Division as a Field Operations Manager. Two years later, he transferred to a new Forklift Sales and Service Division in San Jose, as an assistant to the manager.
In 1978, he was promoted to Operations Manager for R.B. Matheson Postal Services. Shortly afterward, he transferred to Denver and held the position of Branch Manager. In 1980, he became Branch Manager of the Los Angeles office. A year later, Mark returned to Concord as Operations Manager.
In 1987, Mark was named President of R.B. Matheson Postal Services. He later became President of Matheson Fast Freight in 1993. In the year of 2001, he was named President of Matheson Mail Transportation and Matheson Flight Extenders. With hard work and dedication, he advanced to Vice President of Matheson Trucking.
In January 2008, Mark was named Chief Executive Officer and President of Matheson Trucking.
