Golden Capital Network in association with Hamilton Lane, UC Davis, and the Great Valley Center, held its once-a-year New California 100 Conference at the Mondavi Center at UC Davis.

The New California 100 Hall of Fame Dinner recognized Matheson Trucking for outstanding business leadership and impact on California's economy, as well as being one of the Top 100 Companies in the Central Valley. The New California 100 Business Leadership Award was presented to Mark Matheson, President of Matheson Trucking, Inc.

The New California 100 Awards and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was endorsed by the California Commission for Jobs and Economic Growth. The committee selected honorees based on a number of criteria:

• The depth and breadth of the individual's legacy in fostering economic prosperity (company, employment, and wealth creation) in the Great Central Valley.
• The individual's leadership in championing and advocating the Great Central Valley's economy.
• The individual's philanthropic contribution to his/her community (and the Great Central Valley at large).
• The respect and recognition of the individual by peers for contributions to his/her industry.
• General accomplishments of the individual that have influenced or benefited his/her industry and the individual's business community.
• The success and legacy of the individual's business pursuits.
• The entrepreneurial spirit and contribution of the individual, particularly in the replication and creation of future business leaders.
