The California Trucking Association (CTA) announces Matheson Fast Freight is a winner in the 2007 Fleet Safety Awards Program.

The purpose of CTA's Fleet Safety Contest is to recognize companies which reduce accidents by designing and running a top-notch safety program. An independent panel of judges chosen from government agencies, review the self audit results provided by the participating companies. The panel looks at how the company organizes its safety programs, as well as training, driver supervision, preventive maintenance, and the overall record of accident reduction. A field audit is then performed by CTA safety staff to ensure the accuracy of all winning entries.

The CTA recognized Matheson Fast Freight as one of California's safest fleets at the CTA Annual Fleet Safety Awards Banquet. It was held on April 2, 2008 in Sacramento, California. Matheson received 2nd Place in the LTL/General Commodities - Line Haul (Under 7 Million Miles) category.
