Electronic Data Interchange
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) is the computer-to-computer exchange of business data in standard formats. In EDI, information is organized according to a specified format set by both parties, allowing a computer transaction that requires no human intervention or rekeying.
Data Interchange Standards Association
The Data Interchange Standards Association (DISA) advances the foundation of electronic trade and commerce by supporting and promoting standards used for business-to-business data exchange. Providing administrative and technical support to the Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) X12, DISA improves business processes, reduces costs, and increases productivity.
