What does Matheson Postal Services do?
Matheson Postal Services runs over the road Highway Contract Routes as well as local shuttle runs. The US Postal Service runs a tight schedule, so Matheson does too. Rather than pay by the mile, Matheson pays by the hour, but also down to the minute. It is rigorous, but rewarding work. Our contracting and operations department work together to create the most efficient schedule possible for our drivers to have an appropriate time at work to time at home ratio.
While out on the road, Matheson drivers are supported 24/7 by the Matheson Control Center (MCC). The MCC is a fully staffed department of support experts ready to assist the driver with weather information, route, and schedule changes, as well as relay messages from driver to driver. For anything the drivers need to keep moving forward, the MCC is there to help.
